The island’s current name is derived from the Venetians who, due to the island’s many aromatic plants, called it "Isola di Spezzie". Each house at Spezzie was named after one of these plants to evoke the natural scents of the island.
The design and construction of this project combine the developer’s understanding of the requirements of a Spetsiot summer house, the respect of local architectural style, compliance to building regulations as well as the selection of modern yet simple engineering solutions.
The Spezzie homes boast spacious bedrooms (most with en suite bathrooms), functional indoor spaces, large kitchens with easy access to the indoor and outdoor sitting and dining areas, bright and functional semi-basements and practical storage and utility spaces.
Traditional materials such as wooden floors, gabled roofs, wooden Spetsiot ceilings, windows and shutters have been combined with the latest engineering standards. Modern comforts including Air Conditioning, Telephone & TV network throughout, automatic watering system, as well as cabling for alarm systems have been installed.
